Outdoor recreation (Marsh Creek State Park, French Creek State Park) and rural scenic drives are easy day-trip options.
By car: Most visitors use a car; local roads are two‑lane and connect to US‑30 (Lincoln Highway) and PA‑10 for regional travel. Parking near the property and around town is generally available.
Public transit: Amtrak stops at Parkesburg Station (Keystone Service), providing direct rail to Philadelphia and Harrisburg; limited daily trains. SEPTA commuter rail currently does not provide regular weekday service to Parkesburg but regional plans/updates have discussed extensions—check current schedules before travel.
